I'm not a scientist - don't pretend to be, but I've done a lot of reading over the years - about cosmology, evolution, theories of creation, climate change, and so on.
Catastophism rather than evolution-ism has always made more sense to me, concerning the available data, the theories, reflections, pontifications and projections (axis -shift of the planet, included). I think certain things that majorly (and minorly?) affected (and still affect?) the cosmos occurred more because of the pull and push of various planets in their initially-semi-regular cyclic proximity and passages-by (a 'Day of the Lord?' ...) - by their shoving and drawing and sweeping up, as they swept by.
Scientists have made a significant discovery, as per this article and the attending video in this and related areas. -- By studying rocks in Colorado. Who knew?
Lots to ponder.
This may be a major game-changer in terms of our understanding and response to 'climate change.' The data may also create major shifts in our thinking (as well as has been in our planet's cosmic realities) in a number of other, and related, aspects of scientific thought.
